Information on Historical Relic:

The historical remains were unearthed during the foundation excavation of the Istanbul University Faculty of Economics New Building Construction. It consists of an Ottoman (19th century) stone room and a Byzantine (7th century) wall / foundation remains. The stone room is thought to belong to a large mansion.

Scope of Work:

In line with the conservation application report, protection-repair-consolidation works have been carried out. The principle of least intervention has been taken as basis in the transactions. After the conservation, the building was covered with skylight over the steel construction and presented to the audience with the observation terrace created in the new building.
