Company is a construction company with a 27-year history, mainly engaged in construction contracts and real estate development projects.
It was founded by Civil Engineer Metin Yorulmaz and Civil Engineer Mehmet Aydemir, a classmate from the university. Merit İnşaat has conducted public construction contracts and sales of construction materials until 2000 and received its first public contract from the rectorate of Istanbul University in the same year.
Since 2000, the company has completed many contracting works tendered by Istanbul University and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality as the main contractor. Company realized the first real estate development project (housing) in 2005 in Istanbul Fatih.
The company started detailed researches to do business abroad in 2019, business visits were made to the Netherlands and Canada and the residential sectors of these countries were examined on-site. As a result of the feasibility studies, it was decided to establish a company in British Columbia, Canada. On 27 February 2020, Merit Construction Ltd. started to operate.
Founders
Mehmet Aydemir
He was born in Istanbul in 1969. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University as a Civil Engineer in 1991. During his entire education period after primary school, he entered the business life by working on holidays and gained work experience at an early age. After graduating from university, he worked as a field engineer and site supervisor at various infrastructure and superstructure sites. He is married and has a child.
Metin Yorulmaz
He was born in Diyarbakir in 1969. He graduated from Yıldız Technical University in 1991 as a Civil Engineer. During university he worked in a company which enabled him to enter work life. After graduating in 1991 he worked as a site manager in a contracting company until he founded his own company. He is married and has two children.
